Masks Now Required Inside Galano
Dear Galano Supporting Members and Meeting-goers,
Yesterday, the CDC updated the guidance on mask wearing. As a Board, we have long said we will be guided by the recommendations of the CDC in keeping us as safe as possible from COVID-19.
According to CDC maps showing COVID transmission, Galano falls within the updated recommendation for indoor masking. Even when you pull up Dekalb and Fulton counties specifically, we are listed as “substantial transmission”.

Lots of interesting points of data presented for those so inclined. As a result, the Board has voted to reinstate universal masking (including those who are fully vaccinated) in the clubhouse with enforcement by individual meetings, just as it was during Phase 1 re-opening.
We share your disappointment that the Delta variant of COVID-19 combined with too many people refusing to take a safe and effective vaccine has resulted in reinstating the indoor mask requirement.
